In recent years you have likely found yourself dealing increasingly with new Regulations from Transport Canada. Like you, I have had difficulty understanding the justification for some of these Regulations. That is why we believe it is important that the voice of the Approved Organization continue to be heard at the CARAC level. (CARAC: The Canadian Aviation Regulatory Advisory Council… the “body” responsible to solicit industry feedback on regulatory proposals.)

Over the past 11 years, CAADMO has represented Canadian Distributors and AMO’s at several CARAC Part V Technical Committee meetings. With Transport Canada introducing new Regulatory Proposals (NPAs) at an alarming rate, it has become difficult not only to keep up with them, but to ensure that the best interests of the Canadian AMO, and our members’ interests specifically, are given due consideration by TC.

At the present time, CAADMO represents a fairly broad cross-section of the AMO & Distribution community within Canada. (See the full listing of our membership.) However, we need your help to ensure that the views and concerns of all AMOs, large and small, are properly and clearly portrayed to TC as they seem intent to slowly regulate us out of business.
